RESPONSIBILITIES:

The selected candidate will give direct support to senior members of the team being involved in:

  • Active involvement in execution of mandates performing or supervising all financial modelling, all presentation materials, writing info memos, and coordinating all transaction steps.
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives including preparation of presentation materials, attendance and active participation in client meetings, etc.                                                                          
  • Involvement in business planning sessions, marketing plans, etc., of the department.                                                                                
  • Active involvement in training sessions, mentoring, etc. of analysts and trainees.                                                                              
  • Active involvement in recruiting including participation in university presentations, interview processes, etc.                                                                          
  • Active contribution to all the department’s activities, including off-sites, proposing new initiatives to improve the organization of the department.                                                                                
  • Direct contribution to BNP Paribas operational control framework.                                                                            

The associate will work in different types of transactions (M&A, ECM, Fairness opinions etc.) in a wide range of sectors (FIG, Infrastructure, Energy, TMT, Real Estate etc.) in a multi-disciplinary and demanding environment developing strong analytical skills

REQUIREMENTS:

Training:

  • Degree in Business Management / Economics, or Engineering degrees majoring in business management
    Include transcript / academic record

Experience:

  • At least 3-4 year experience / internship(s) in M&A, ECM, Transaction Services, Strategic Consulting

Languages:

  • English:Fluent
  • Spanish:Optional
  • French:Optional

SKILLS:

Technical:

  • Strong interest in finance in general and the M&A industry in particular
  • Sound valuation and accounting knowledge
  • Good communication and team-working skills
  • Capacity to multi-task and work independently
  • Reliability, rigorousness and commitment
  • Attention to details
  • Fluency in English, other languages are a plus
  • IT skills: proficient use of Microsoft Office package
  • Financial databases’ knowledge (eg: Bloomberg, FactSet, Mergermarket etc.)
