Risk HUB

RISK is an integrated and independent control function of the BNP Paribas Group. It is the second line of defense on the risk management activities of the Group which are under its direct responsibilities, including credit and counterparty risk, market risk, funding and liquidity risk, interest rate and foreign exchange risks in the banking book, insurance risk, operational risk, and environmental and social risks.

RISK aims at being a partner of the businesses by contributing to their sustainable development, but also a gatekeeper to ensure risks taken remain compatible with the Group’s Risk Appetite and its strategy. 

RISK Iberian Hub Madrid is a transversal platform servicing the RISK Function by covering added-value activities around credit risk, market risk, operational risk and data protection. Offering a wide range of services to RISK teams, from consulting to cyber security going through data analysis, modelling or artificial intelligence.

RESPONSABILITIES

  • Lead and participate in consulting missions for internal RISK customers and stakeholders, notably by:
    •    Project framing with the Sponsor(s) and Product Owner(s).
    •    Precise definition of the deliverables and planning of the project.
    •    Identify and mitigate the project risks.
    •    Design and implement the project governance.
    •    Secure the project’s delivery by escalating any issue and propose relevant mitigation actions.
    •    Progress monitoring and propose adjustments.
    •    Measure project performance to identify areas of improvement.
    •    Report achievements & progress directly with sponsors, POs and stakeholders.
  • Contribute, at the consultant level, to the development of the team through active participation in internal projects.
  • Contribute to the development of knowledge management and sharing of best practices.
  • Promotion of internal consulting within the Group as well as the Consulting & Transformation network.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor degree (business, engineering…).
  • Experience: 2-5 years in consulting or project management in the financial/banking sector, particularly in risk management.
  • English: Full professional competence (min C1).
  • Excellent communication skills (oral & written) to understand and explain in synthetic way complex topics.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills to lead a project and interact with senior stakeholders in a multicultural and fast-driven environment.
  • Problem solving, creative and innovative.
  • Forward thinking to anticipate business / strategic evolution / change.
  • Collaborative player (teamwork) in a remote working environment.
  • Results driven, able to deliver and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive, autonomous, self-starter, motivated and driven.
