The “Digital Platforms” Domain is part of the Corporate & Institutional Banking Information Technology & Operations (CIB ITO) of BNP PARIBAS, it manages all the infrastructure department such as the servers, databases, storage, backup, middleware, Citrix farms and VMware infrastructure.

Within this domain, the support to process automation linked to BNPP private cloud has a relevant role in our IT infrastructure.

I.               Position – Key Accountabilities

This position is focused on automation of all elements within the private cloud of BNPP.

The robotics team offers its service to the products available in BNPP cloud workspace with thousands of virtual servers linked to them. The candidate selected must contribute to preserve the required performance for a very demanding service with critical services offered from it.

For about 75% of your time, in relation with the InfraServices team, you will develop homemade services in Python to ensure and manage the micro-segmentation of the BNPP cloud. This mainly consists of providing a way for end users to request network flows. Depending on the nature of the request, it may require approval or be directly implemented by API on firewalls. In addition, you will design and supervise CI / CD processes, to make application deployments, to perform code review mainly in Python, to create systems and applications monitoring, mainly based on Microservice architecture and to attend users & resolve incidents related to the RPA.

To have a high learning capacity is key to adopt required skills on new technologies.

High reactivity, proactive improvements, and capacity to follow plan action linked to new project and/or incident remediation are part of the day to day of this position.

·       Eager to learn & Analytical mind-set: the heart of bank automation is a tool created within BNP, with no external documentation or forums to turn to.

·       Ability to work autonomous: Although we are a tight team most of the time you will need to work on your own, looking for answers to problems that nobody found before.

·       Teamwork. We work developing new microservices closely with the Paris team, microservices that will be used by the rest of the development teams so teamwork abilities will be key aspects used in a daily basis

IV.         Qualifications & Languages

QUALIFICATIONS

·       Bachelor in Computer Science preferable but not mandatory

·       ITIL Foundation certificate will be desirable

LANGUAGES

·       High English spoken and written fluent (B2/C). Mandatory

·       French spoken and written will be valued

V.          Others

·       On Site Services: From 7:00 to 19:30 schedule to cover in weekly shifts of 8 working hours/day

·       On Call Services: Out of regular schedule, surely in a near future we will provide an On Call services 24/7 to be covered in weekly shifts by team members.

·       BNPP is an international company, most of Spanish non-working days out of weekends are considered as business days, so they require Onsite support -but to be covered with a reduce number of staff-.  These days -and the OnCall support when it is implemented- have specific compensation, in the same way that if it is required to work in a scheduled activity on weekend.
