Our offices are located in Madrid, Spain. The company brings together over 170 employees, with expertise in various technologies (Java, .Net, Python, Tibco) and other operational roles (Functional Analyst, Project Manager, Business Analyst). We keep growing!

MISSION:

The Technical Team Lead IT for Data has the key responsibility of the management and supervision of company Data for IT CoE, pool of resources working in different data squads for different international clients inside BNPP PF. And, at the same time, has the key responsibility with the Data’s team to design, build, and maintain data pipelines which ingest, transform and prepare data from different sources into the different layers of our datahub platform and/or data products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The main responsibilities of the Technical Team Lead IT for Data are:

– Responsible for the management and supervision of company Data for IT CoE, pool of resources working in different data squads for different international clients inside BNPP PF.

– He/she and the team will design, build, and maintain data pipelines which ingest, transform and prepare data from different sources into the different layers of our datahub platform and/or data products.

– Contribute to the continuous improvement of data engineering, data governance, and data integration processes within the different BNPP PF subsidiaries.

– Facilitate communication between data engineers, data product teams, IT professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure effective data integration.

– Supervise the Data team in the development of data pipelines to ingest and transform data from different sources (API, files, Kafka topics) into HDFS, IBM Cloud Storage, Parquet or SQL/NOSQL databases.

– Manage big data storage solutions on the platform (HDFS, IBM Cloud Storage, Parquet).

– Implementation together with the team of schemas and queries in SQL/NOSQL databases like Postgres, MongoDB or Oracle.

– Develop and schedule the configuration of data pipelines with a combination of shell scripting and Autosys, Oozie or AirFlow.

– Oversee the configuration of Dremio Data Virtualization to interface with Parquet or as a way to expose the data in the different data products.

– Supervise the configuration of Dataiku pipelines as a data preparation tool for loading and transforming data from our big data platform into specific datamarts for data or business products. 

REQUIREMENTS:

Training:

 • Master’s degree, preferably in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Software Engineering, or a similar discipline in a technical field.

Experience:

• At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer Technical Leader. If you have experience managing people in positions related to Big Data Engineering, IT Analyst or in a comparable position, will be interesting for us!

• Strong experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, ensuring data quality and reliability.

• Experience in managing large volumes of data, Big Data.

• Experience in the management of Data Projects with involvement in all stages: Data engineering and preparation, data storage and management, model development and implementation, visualization and governance.

SKILLS:

Technical:

• Master in Big Data technologies.

• Knowledge of data governance, data lifecycle management, and compliance with data regulations.

• Management of legacy big data storage solutions (as HDFS) and management of big target solutions (as IBM Cloud Object Storage and Parquet).

• Implementation of SQL/NO SQL database schemas and queries (MongoDB, Oracle, Postgres).

• Experience in Spark, SparkaaS and Scala.

• Experience in the design and development of streaming processes using Spark Streaming, Spart Structure Streaming, and Apache Kafka.

• Good knowledge of Data Orchestration Solutions (Ksh, Autosys and Oozie as legacy and Airflow as target).

• Knolwledge of Dremio as data virtualization tool.

• Knolwledge Dataiku as data preparation tool.
