Business Area:

BNP Paribas in its Securities Services business offers a wide range of services derived from the purchase and sale of financial instruments and units in investment funds, such as their settlement, custody, valuation, administration and financing and all financial transactions derived therefrom (dividend payments, capital increases, fund subscriptions and redemptions, etc.).

Mission:

The Business Analyst has the following responsibilities:

  • Understand and analyze the needs of the Business related to one or more functional domains, with the aim of enhancing the IS with appropriate and sustainable solutions in line with the entity’s strategic plan and the related request portfolio
  • Ensure that the solution is compatible with the requirements derived from the Business’s needs
  • Contact person within the project or maintenance teams and for the Business for Data and functional aspects

Responsibilities:

The Business Analyst performs all or part of the following activities:

  • Understand and analyze the needs of the Business related to one or more functional domains, with the aim of enhancing the IS with appropriate and sustainable solutions in line with the entity’s strategic plan and the related request portfolio
  • Contribute to preliminary studies with the Business
  • Participate, as necessary, in monitoring the portfolio and prioritizing requests in their scope of activity
  • Clarify, analyze from a critical and constructive perspective and, as necessary, challenge the need expressed by the Business regarding the entity’s strategic plan

Ensure that the solution is compatible with the requirements derived from the Business’s needs

  • Formalize the statement of requirements and have it validated by the Business
  • Define, formalize and request validation of requirements related to the need with the contributors involved, in compliance with the entity’s applicable practices
  • Ensure or contribute to testing activities in their functional scope
  • Assist the Business in conducting user tests
  • Contribute with the Business to change management activities and deployment for the end customer.
  • Help identify Business impacts caused by the solution and prepare action plans

Contact person within the project or maintenance teams and for the Business for Data and functional aspects

  • Share knowledge about their area of expertise and ensure functional support
  • Report in accordance with the operating rules and practices defined for the scope
  • Help manage user communities

Compétences/ Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of project management methodology
