BNP Paribas Corporate & Institutional Banking provides large companies, multinationals and financial institutions with various solutions in the areas of advisory, financing, transactional banking, capital markets, settlement, clearing and custody of securities, asset and fund management services and solutions for corporate issuers. It has 620 professionals in Spain with offices in Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao and Coruña. The entity has a network present in 56 countries.

From the 17 European branches of BNP Paribas CIB, there are 12 countries (Netherlands, Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Czech Republic, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark) whose local IT activity is managed by CIB IT Spain. The others 5 locations keeps a local IT teams  (Belgium, UK, Russia, Italy, Luxembourg, Germany-Austria).

CIB IT Spain is responsible for providing ADM (Application Development and Maintenance) and APS (Application Production Support) services to its internal clients. Its main responsibility is the planning and execution of BAU activities, initiatives and projects for all local BNPP applications within the European territories, delivering those with the respect of CIB IT rules, regulatory standards and compliance guidelines, implementing the overall strategy of CIB IT Clusters for developing and technology initiatives.

MISSION:

Holding a position as Finance Data Analyst you will be part of the IT Governance team and your mission will be the global budget management, PnL control and providing vision and monitoring of CIB IT Spain budget as well as the local IT budgets of the locations under the scope.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 The main responsibilities of the Finance data analyst are:

§Budget data collection and reporting to central IT Teams : Direct staff costs, purchases, indirect costs (premises, local functions, others), Direct expenses (HW & SW) & FTE, Cash & P&L view and cost per head follow-up. The collection of data must be at detailed level and per cost center.

§ Budget monitoring and reporting for the Head of CIB IT Spain: headcounts, mandays, maintenance, investment, and indirect costs. Bringing added value to the reports from Central Finance. KPI reporting. Tracking Actuals vs Budget (€ and Mandays) and accruals. Reporting issues and forecasts, explaining deltas, and ensuring the quality of the information.

§ Serve as a knowledgeable resource and point of contact for budget-related inquiries, being the interface (link) between:
o Local and EMEA Finance (Accounting, Business Controlling, Performance reporting)
o IT Developments teams and the Central IT CIO Offices
o Central CIB IT Q&E  
o Our customers when producing the budget.
o Procurement team

The Finance data analyst will also participate in other important activities:

§ Management and monitoring of the invoices raised by Madrid and Paris IT Cluster as well as the reinvoicing process. She/He must ensure to have the correct beneficiary and the cost center to guarantee an efficient invoicing process.

§ IT Sourcing:
o She/He receives the purchases requests from the locations, IT managers raises the official Purchase Order which is sent to the vendor in line and following the local Procurement procedures.
o She/He reports the purchases in the correct CC and Cost nature.

§ The Financial Data analyst will assess his/her colleagues (IT managers) to report the Purchase orders properly based on the budget. For this he/she will maintain a Golden Source database with the budget and purchasing details.

§ Invoice management:
o Accounts receivable: Responsible for raising the invoices on behalf of the CIB IT Spain and the Paris CIB IT when applicable.
o Accounts payable: He/She will assess his/her colleagues to ensure that the invoices are properly booked (Cost centres, projects, cost natures) and paid in time.
o Any special project or requirement related to the EMEA and/or CIB IT Spain financials .

§ Design and update the procedures of budget and PnL management for the department.

REQUIREMENTS:

Training:

 § Bachelor’s in business administration

Experience:

• At least 5 years’ experience working in Finance environments.
• Experience working in similar positions, preferably on IT environments.

 •  French:Optional

SKILLS:

Technical:

Tools / technologies / methodologies:
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Knowledge of Accounting standards.
• Financial analysis (performance) expertise.
• Strong domain on MS Office package, with proficiency skills in Excel.
• Knowledge of basic sourcing standards and best practices (Desirable)
• Knoweldge of PowerBI (Desirable)
