The CIB IT Platform for EMEA is responsible to provide IT Services to our Clients ensuring a Digital Market evolution, in a secured and performant environment, and with a reliable quality. This function includes Global Markets Application Production, Local Territory IT Development, the Core Infrastructure environment including Datacentres, Application Production, Security, Architecture as well as elements of the Global Services organisation.

LO&IT develop, support and maintain over 20 applications for a wide variety of internal clients for BNP Paribas CIB (Corporate & Institutional Banking), utilising various technologies. The team is spread across London and Mumbai. A dedicated “Application Production Support” team exists (known as LAS APS) to assist end users and provide a good quality of service, security, monitoring and reporting.
Applications supported include Tier 1 corporate banking and finance systems, security systems, governance, business continuity, facilities and compliance. Members of the team work with a wide variety of core technologies (Windows, dotNET, SQL Server, Autosys, SSIS/SSRS) and third party systems, and are located in London and Mumbai. Members of the team bring expertise in some technologies/applications, are expected to pick up skills in many others, through mentoring, internal and external training and to propose improvements.

MISSION

A support analyst IT role is to provide Production Support (incident, request & change management) technical and functional for all the LO&IT applications including UK payments systems (hosted in Paris and London) and to ensure a high quality level of services for all these applications and their users. The role also includes involvement in continuity/BCP, obsolescence management, asset management, monitoring, support to projects.
It reports hierarchically to a Global Production Support team manager. This role is part of a UK based team (London) and an extended team in Mumbai.
The role support users mainly in the UK and works very closely with Development (ADM), Business Analysts, and other Production Support (APS) and infrastructure teams in London, Paris, Madrid, Brussels, Mumbai & Bangalore.
In line with the overall BNP Paribas sourcing strategy, we are now looking to co-locate the LAS APS role in Spain.
The successful candidate is expected to be comfortable operating with a 3 location support model between London, Mumbai and Spain.

REQUIREMENTS

Essential
Experience on production support activities (between 2 and 5 years)
Hardware knowledge (application , database, web servers and agents)
Database knowledge and SQL Server
General Web technologies
Monitoring tool knowledge (Geneos, Dynatrace…)
Ticketing tools (ITSM, Jira…)
Microsoft tools (advanced Excel, Word, Powerpoint, OneNote…)

Preferred
• Optional technical skills: Windows, C#/.NET, PowerBI, SSRS/SSIS, Autosys
• Knowledge on payment systems
• ITIL certifications

Languages

 •  English: fluent.
