Financial Risk Controller

WHO WE ARE
We are the Infinity EMEA Finance & Strategy Platform, a regional hub delivering accounting, reporting, control, transformation and IT services for BNP Paribas. Based in Madrid and Lisbon, we support 500 employees and over 250 entities, covering more than 60 % of the Group’s balance sheet.

MISSION
As an LOD2 Analyst you will ensure a documented risk‑based approach for independent challenge and control verification. You will guide finance management on risk frameworks, identify risk areas and implement measures aligned with EMEA Finance strategy. You will develop a governance structure adapted to the organization and deliver LoD2 road‑maps aligned with Group plans and regulations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Perform independent challenge of accounting and financial‑information risk identification and assessment, including LoD 1 mitigation frameworks.
• Challenge controls, assess first‑line‑of‑defense control setup quality and supervise elementary certification from SMS.
• Verify application of Group Accounting Controls procedures and close external‑auditor recommendations through check‑challenge activities.
• Report quarterly syntheses to relevant perimeters and Group Finance Management, and provide CFOs with risk‑assessment summaries throughout the certification process.
• Participate in accounting projects and, when requested by the regional CFO, steer or support remediation programmes for severe residual risk.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• You hold a master’s degree in Business Administration or Audit.
• You have 2–4 years of relevant experience; banking background is not mandatory.
• You are fluent in English; Spanish is also required.
• You possess advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
• You have strong organisational and analytical abilities.
