MISSION

Maintain and improve the overall Mainframe Security

·         z/OS (STS) security rules improvement

·         IAM solution deployment, including MFA specificities, to all partitions operated by PRODSEC

MISION

This particular role is a Project Manager role required to deliver Payments & Cash Management IT solutions on behalf of the UK Territory. This requires working with multiple teams spread across multiple global locations, including our own extended team.

Core accountabilities of role:

  • Lead Payments & Cash Management projects on behalf of the UK for industrialised global solutions as well as solutions required to be developed & maintained within the UK locally.  
  • Build strong relationships with all the stakeholders including UK management and project teams, looking for common ground and leading by example to create an environment conducive to project success. 
  • Follow required CIB IT Governance project lifecycle requirements as necessary. 
  • Create project schedules and keep realistic project planning.

  • Experienced Project Manager with good functional knowledge of E2E payments processing in an investment banking environment. Ideally will have worked as a Project Manager or Business Analyst on a range of payments systems delivery projects. The experience could be projects on any of these schemes – CHAPS, Faster Payments, BACs, CBPR+, HVPS+, SEPA, Target, including experience on ISO 20022 schema migration projects.   
  • Excellent command of English-verbal and written.

 ABOUT THE JOB

 MISSION

 As any BNP Paribas Function or Operational Entity, RISK is responsible for the management, in compliance with BNP Paribas risks tolerance and the supporting policies and procedures, of the operational and regulatory risks caused by, or related to, its activity.  

A permanent control framework, relying on three lines of defence guaranties the proper exercise of such responsibility.

 RISK first line of defense (1LoD) relies mostly on a network of identified Operational Permanent Control coordinators spread across the different streams of the Function.  

 In order to continue reinforcing the consistency of the management of operational risks across the function, to complete the implementation of the Operational Risk Management Framework within the different streams, to strengthen the steering of the existing remediation projects (data protection, cyber, RCSA & controls) and with the perspective to refine the assessment of the global risk profile of the function, RISK decided create a role of Chief Conduct & Control Officer (RISK CCCO) reporting to the RISK Chief Operating Officer (RISK COO) 

 To achieve these goals, RISK CCCO is supported by a team based in Madrid & Paris (RISK GOPC & RISK CISO). 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 The RISK CCCO team, together with the RISK Senior Management has the responsibility to identify and assess non-financial risks, to ensure the enforcement and efficiency of the control framework and to promote and fathom the adequate risk management culture within RISK 1LoD.  

With a primary focus on the Central / Global RISK teams, the RISK CCCO team have the following key responsabilities:

 Animate the OPC network:  
 * Lead RISK OPC community, who within their streams or regions, are responsible for the oversight of non-financial risks, to strengthen and rationalise the LoD1 ORM framework across RISK.
 * Provide them foster awareness and continuous improvement through guidelines, templates and guidance 
 * Newsletter are sent periodically by head of RISK GOPC (Contribution expected)
 * Contribution to RISK OPC Community Committee 
 * Maintain updated RISK OPC Community

Embed a conduct and control-mindset in all facets of the function
 * Act as an Ambassador of the BNPP Code of Conduct within RISK, promoting high ethical and professional standards.

Act as the point of contact for Compliance matters (Professional Ethics, Conduct Risk, Volcker certification) in France for the Global teams, and in coordination with the second line of defense (2LoD)

 Steer the overall control framework throughout RISK:  
 * Monitor the RISK roadmap and priorities defined within 1LoD
* Ensure a consistent implementation of Group operational risk management and permanent control methodologies for 1LoD within RISK, focused on the main components of Operational control (Procedures, RCSA, HI, PI, Actions and remediation plans, recommendations…)
 * Management of 360 Risk op tool modules and reports for the follow up of all these main OPC elements
 * Management of 360 Riskop tool accesses for RISK staff & review and confirm or reject the access request for staff out of RISK involving any RISK scope
 * Review periodically existing control framework with proposed enhancements, in coordination with 2LoD
 * Act as the point of contact for LoD2 to ensure an effective coordination
 * Preparation and documentation of RISK Internal Control Committee 

 Ensure, through the network of OPCs, the consistency and robustness of the ORM framework implementation cross RISK streams 
 * Assess and when necessary, enhance the overall ORM framework (including data protection, TPRM, Fraud, technology risks) throughout RISK, in collaboration with 2LoD
* Oversee the delivery of improvement remediation plans based on material weaknesses identified in the annual self-assessment
 * Establish and provide to RISK OPCs standards for reporting
 * Coordinate necessary projects or other efforts to ensure compliance with external and internal requirements, such as policies and procedures

The Telecom & Workspace Domain is part of the Corporate and Institutional Banking Information Technology & Operations (CIB ITO) of BNP Paribas. The Audit Professional Practices Associate is a member of the Professional Practices Expertise Center for Europe, Middle and Africa working in dual office mode with a Team in Paris and is part of Inspection Generale.

The Audit Professional Practices Expertise Center main objective is to support the Inspection Générale Management Teams (heads of Domains & Heads of Hubs) in the planification, steering and reporting of the audit work. The role

As a Credit Risk Model Validation Specialist you will participate in the Review, Oversight and monitoring of all Credit Risk Models in force within BNP Paribas such as (IFRS9, Scoring Models, IRB, Stress Testing and ICAAP) and you would play a major role in the definition and challenge of BNP’s global modelling convergence across entities by  helping in reaching full compliance with European Banking Regulations such as (CRD, CRR, Basel IV).

Additionally, the role may occasionally require reviewing and assessing other models that may affect any of the credit risk cycle decision making process including ESG related models and would require an ongoing monitoring to ensure that existing models implemented meet Group’s requirements in terms of performance (Review of Estimates and Backtesting)

As such, you will join an international team named – RISK Independent Review and Control – with presence in up to 9 countries comprised by a wide range of experienced and skilled professionals in the Credit Risk Domain that would give you the chance to liaise with senior executive members across BNP’s Paribas RISK organization– including Model Development teams, Internal Audit and Risk Officers – across the different entities BNPP has in several locations including BNL – Italy , Fortis – Belgium , BNPP – France , BGL – Luxembourg .

The role would additionally encompass participating in the validation of to the Group’s Global Corporate Models including Asset Finance, Large Corporates, LBO, Financial Institutions)  and would require a frequent interaction with regulatory bodies (ECB , ACPR).

The role’s location:

The current position herein offered is based in Madrid where the BNP’s MADRID RISK HUB is based joining a large community of Risk Professionals in the domains of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, Operational Risk Control , Credit Market and Counterparty Risk, Cyber Security and Project Management.

What we are looking for:

Up to three candidates are being sought by the Independent Review and Control, candidates should:

  • Show a strong statistical knowledge in the domains of (statistical inference and probability, clustering, time series forecasting).
  • Show strong critical thinking and passion for learning.
  • Knowledge of the latest regulatory requirements including (NDOD, Basel IV, EBA Guidelines, IFRS9, CRR/CRD, Collateral eligibility, ECB Guide to Internal Models).
  • Have previous experience in the development and/or the Validation of both Retail and Corporate/Global models.
  • Knowledge of SAS.
  • Have good communication and synthesis skills.
  • Have had previous experience in liaising with regulatory bodies such as (ECB, ACPR,Bank of Spain) and has participated in on-site missions such as IMI and OSI.
  • Be fluent in English both written and spoken.
  • Be rigorous and have the capacity to work on its own.
  • Have a good team-spirit and passion for collaboration.
