The “Watchlist & Doubtful” team is part of the “Corporate Clients Continuum Management Team” within RISK Corporate. It manages the Watchlist/Doubtful platform, ensuring the proper functioning of committees related to sensitive cases (Watchlist and Doubtful), including monthly provisioning committees (CDD/CDDG) and quarterly review committees of the Watchlist and Doubtful case stock.

The Watchlist/Doubtful platform operates within a Corporate perimeter (in the “Balois” sense) for RISK Corporate, RISK CPBS (mainly: BNL, BCEF, BNP Paribas Fortis,…), and RISK MFI. It is worth noting that the Chairs of these committees include Business and RISK Stream managers, as well as members of the Bank’s General Management for the CDDG.

The team is also responsible for ensuring the proper alignment and development of the internally developed WaDoop tool—currently used within the RISK Corporate and RISK MFI perimeters.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for Organizing and Preparing Quarterly Review Committees for Watchlist & Doubtful Debtors (WL/DD) within Your Assigned Perimeter:
  • Define the quarterly review calendar.
  • Gather reports and individual notes from the sites (ensuring consistency and completeness of documents), using WaDoop for RISK Corporate and RISK MFI, and via email for other perimeters.

  • Define the schedule for the monthly provisioning committees (Debtors Committee and General Management Debtors Committee).
  • Gather reports and individual notes from the sites (ensuring consistency and completeness of documents).
  • Prepare case files.
  • Establish the agenda.
  • Ensure that the committee Chairs (Business and RISK managers) have all necessary information.
  • Verify that meeting minutes are drafted and signed.

  • Validate, within MIRO, the provisioning movements approved by the CDD/CDDG.
  1. Participate in Cross-Functional Team Projects:
  • Contribute to the improvement of tools and processes.

  • Focus on project management for WaDoop, where RISK Corporate acts as both Sponsor and Project Manager.

CIB IT Spain is responsible for CIB European local applications under its scope, providing ADM (Application Development and Maintenance) and APS (Application Production Support) services to its internal clients, providing vision to the applications and systems under its scope, implementing the overall strategy for developing and implementing technology initiatives. It is also responsible for the planning and implementation of BAU activities, initiatives, and projects for the local BNPP systems within the European territories, delivering those with the respect of Group IT rules, regulatory standards, and compliance guidelines for the IT domains in its scope. From the 17 European branches of BNP Paribas CIB, there are 13 countries  (Netherlands, Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Czech Republic, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Belgium) that are under CIB IT Spain scope. The others are managed currently by  local IT teams.

  

ABOUT THE JOB

MISSION

Holding a position within the IT Development team of CIB IT Spain, your main responsibility will be to lead developments of .NET in house applications, ensuring continuity and be compliance with standards and cyber security rules, guaranteeing the quality of the applications within your scope and manage related maintenance and development.

• Understand and analyze the needs coming from the Business, proposing sustainable solutions, in line with the entity’s development good practices.

•  Involve all relevant stakeholders in the process of definition and validation of any new requirement, assessing all potential impacts.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience on a whole live cycle of a development, from the requirements analysis to the development and release on Production environments, support on testing phases.
  • At least 5 years of experience on .NET development,
  • At least 3 years of experience on analysis of a software solution.
  • At least 3 years of experience on releases on Production environment, production support, 
  • At least 3 years of experience on releases on support on testing phases.

BNP Paribas Group’s Inspection Générale (IG) is and Independent and Integrated Function in charge of the Internal Audit, which can intervene in all the entities and areas of BNP Paribas Group. Its scope of intervention therfore covers all activities and risk of the Group’s entities, including subsidiaries, either financial or others, included in the auditable universe, as well as all outsourced activities in accordance with regulatory requirements.
The Iberian Peninsula Audit Hub is part of IG and its scope is all the BNP Paribas businesses (including Hubs) in Spain and Portugal.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Auditor main roles are:
  • Verify the existence and proper application of the Regulations and the internal rules defined by BNP Paribas policies;
  • Verify the absence of major weaknesses in the internal control system and its consistency in all group entities, as well as the reliability of the financial, operational and management data;
  • Examine the appropriateness of the methods and procedures and the efficiency of the management and control processes used within BNP Paribas;
  • Verify that the methods used in acquiring, allocating and preserving the Group’s internal resources human, technological, material, etc. are cost effective;
  • Assess management’s ability to assume responsibilities, display leadership qualities and define management orientations;
  • Verify the methods used for achieving objectives and for implementing, in optimal conditions, the strategies and action plans defined by the responsible entities in accordance with the general policies of BNP Paribas.
  • Participate to the annual risk assessment exercise by analyzing Audit Units;
  • Follow up the issued recommendations assigned to him;
  • Assist in the production of the periodic reporting requested locally or by IG Head office.
 
REQUIREMENTS
  • Studies

Degree in Economics, Law or Business Management; 

Master in Finance, Accounting or Audit would be a plus.

  • Experience

Mandatory experience in internal / external audit or internal control function (such as OPC / RISK or Compliance) – at least 3 or 4 years.

Report to

The position is under the local supervision of the Head of ITTF HUB in Madrid, with a functional link to the Global Head of FRS.

 

Main responsibilities

  • Design and development of IT solutions 
  • The IT program manager/Tech lead will be responsible to contribute to the technical design of the products, in accordance with operational and technical requirements.
  • As an agent of change, he/she will also contribute to agile transformation and the roll out of methods and practices within the platform, including Test and Learn.
  • He/she can act as a coach with a view to improving technical skills of the teams.
  • He/she will have a comprehensive view on the technological choices and the strategy implementation across the various activities and projects performed in the platform
  • Developing assumptions, designing operational and technical macro- solutions, facilitating discussions and simulating team´s creativity
  • In coordination with architects, guiding technical and application solutions and proposing the most appropriate technical choices, factoring in integration constraints and non-operational requirements (standards and rules, IT security, IT continuity, performance, obsolescence…)
  • Ensuring the quality of solutions, measuring the quality, issuing alerts in non-conformity and approving final solutions

The FRS Strategy & International team is a team of PMO’s managing key projects and deliverables contributing to the strategic evolution of FRS.  Transformation is focused across different workstreams covering people, architecture, partnership to deliver the objectives of the 2028 strategic plan. 

The team in Madrid work as part of a global team, managed from the UK and partnered with resources based across the regions and hubs.   Resources work closely with other FRS teams, Finance, Risk and key stakeholders from other ITG departments.

Within RISK FINANCE Data Office created end of 2019, you will belong to Data Quality Watch Tower team with a Group mandate, particularly in charge of:

  • Data Quality monitoring on RISK & Finance scope data

Thanks to your concrete actions / reports, you will contribute to the Group Data Quality monitoring capabilities’ enhancement and will provide key inputs to the RISK Finance QARC (Quality

  • Assess based on Data Quality KPI’s and Dashboard, data quality level / standards for RISK

  • To proactively develop and industrialize as much as possible data quality activities monitoring to that end, you will leverage (i) on day-to-day interactions with RISK Finance Data Office team in Paris and also with (ii) a network of key KPIs’ providers within the Group divisions both at central and local level and potentially IT/project teams
  • To improve interactions with Finance LOD2 control team located in Madrid and having a Group coverage mandate, in order to optimize data quality remediation process
