ABOUT THE JOB

 

You will join the Global Practice RISK IRC (Independent Review and Control) responsible for:

·       Independent model validation (RISK IR);

·       Leading the Group’s Model Risk governance (RISK IRCO);

·       Exercising LoD2 on operational risk generated by the RISK Function processes (RISK ORM RISK);

·       Participating in validation projects for the BNP Paribas group spread across 9 countries (Europe and North America).

As an AI (Artificial Intelligence) Model Analyst, you will be in charge of the following tasks:

· Conducting independent evaluations of the AI models used within BNP Paribas, specifically verifying:

o   their conceptual robustness,

o   the validity of their results,

o   the model performance monitoring system,

o   the implementation and any other relevant aspect of the modeling affecting the models’ use,

· Documenting the work and defending the conclusions before a validation committee,

· Leveraging your expertise and the independent reviews conducted to keep the Group’s AI validation standards up to date,

· Collaborating with other RISK IRC streams to benefit from their business expertise,

· Working closely with BNPP’s data science teams to participate in AI tools experimentation.

What is the Global Banking EMEA Graduate Program? 
The Global Banking EMEA Graduate Program is designed to boost your professional development. What will your first 12 months look like?
You will be part of a community of c.40 talented graduates recruited in 7 countries and sponsored by a senior member of the Global Banking EMEA Management team.
During the first 6 months, you will join one of the Investment Bank’s teams based in Paris, either at European Advisory Group (EAG) either at Capital Markets. 
European Advisory Group (EAG): joining the EAG will offer you the opportunity to be involved on a large variety of M&A transactions (buy or sell-side, public or private). During your mission, you will be involved on every step of the entire M&A process from marketing through to execution and be responsible for providing support in the preparation of all materials required for clients’ pitching and deals’ execution.
At Capital Markets, you will be offered the opportunity to join one of the following teams: 
o Equity Capital Markets – Join the leading European Equity Capital Markets franchise. Equity Capital Markets advise clients with regards to accessing the equity capital markets, covering raising new capital by corporates whether by way of initial public offering, rights issue or accelerated transactions, including equity and equity-linked instruments.  

o Debt Markets – Debt Markets EMEA’s mission is to serve the bank’s corporate and private equity clients, by originating, structuring and executing all DCM and syndicated loan transactions (corporate facilities and event-driven transactions). 

o Real Assets Group – the Real Assets group encompasses a wide range of specialized coverage, specialised financing and debt advisory activities in the following sectors: energy, resources, infrastructure, real estate, aviation and shipping.  Clients include corporates, sovereigns, financial sponsors and institutional clients.  Financing products involved include asset finance, project finance, export finance, infrastructure finance, acquisition finance, reserve-based lending and related cross-sell products (including hedging) with a strong distribution focus towards capital markets. A few examples of your missions during your rotations:
o Assist in the preparation of presentations and pitches to support the marketing effort
o Perform background industry and company research, operational benchmarking analysis, valuation works, synthesising information from diverse source
o Perform financial and risk analysis to facilitate discussions with internal partners, develop financial models
o Support the marketing of transactions including development of strategy, timetable, target investors, collation and analysis of feedback
o Support syndicate interaction
o Assist in the preparation of credit documentation and manage the internal approval process
o Transaction analysis and due diligence 
o Contribute to the preparation of syndication materials
o Prepare credit proposals, annual reviews, waiver & amendment requests and participation in credit committees
o Play a leading role in the on-boarding and training of the interns working within the team.
o Interact with internal partners including research, compliance and legal
o At Securitized Products Group: support the structurers in the preparation of commercial offers, the design of financing structures and portfolios reviews.
In parallel, you will benefit from the comprehensive development program of the Investment Banking Academy, covering both technical and soft skills.
After 6 months in Paris, you will start your second assignment back in Spain and will discover a second activity of the investment bank.
After these 2 rotations you will be allocated within Real Asset team as an Analyst 2 and you will continue to benefit from a dedicated career support. 

Work environment
You will join the European Advisory Group and Capital Markets departments, part of Global Banking, CIB.
The European Advisory Group is a team of c. 170 advisory junior bankers (from Analysts to Vice Presidents) supporting the senior Bankers from both M&A EMEA and Industry Groups and dedicated to the origination and execution of M&A transactions for the account of BNP Paribas clients. The team has geographic offices based in Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Sweden, the UK, Dubai, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Portugal.
Capital Markets is BNP Paribas’ capital markets business within the Corporate & Institutional Bank (CIB).   The primary objectives of Capital Markets EMEA are to provide BNP Paribas’ issuer and investor client franchises with fully integrated services across the capital structure and deliver solutions across asset classes. CIB IT

CIB IT Spain is responsible for CIB European local applications under its scope, providing ADM (Application Development and Maintenance) and APS (Application Production Support) services to its internal clients, providing vision to the applications and systems under its scope, implementing the overall strategy for developing and implementing technology initiatives. Within your team (3 FTEs), you will perform simulations on the credit risk exposure portfolio to set decisive directions, such as choosing the regulatory approach (A-IRB or Standard) applied to a specific scope or determining the future of one or more models. We’re looking for a pragmatic, detail-oriented Data Analyst to join the RISK Human Resources Team at BNP Paribas in the RISK department (Control Function). You will be based in Madrid reporting to the RISK Head of Rewards and Data Analytics, based in Paris. 

You will be responsible for supporting the Human Resource team and business partners in data analytics, troubleshooting activities, reports and special HR projects. Accountable for collecting, cleaning, maintaining and analyzing data that can be translated into insights to guide our HR strategy and support the decision making. 

You will be an expert in managing and analyzing large sets of data, maintaining data integrity and communicating relevant insights.

Spain IT Production organization consists of CIB ITO & ITG IT Platforms and is responsible for providing IT Production services to our Clients in EMEA, ensuring a Digital Market evolution, in a secured and performant environment, and with a reliable quality. ABOUT THE JOB

 

MISSION

The “Production Security” Domain is part of the Corporate & Institutional Banking Information Technology & Operations (CIB ITO) of BNP PARIBAS, it manages all the security solutions.               

The SSO team provide identity and access management tooling as a middleware delivery team, supporting authentication and authorisation for both internal and external customers.  

Using several standardised frameworks, the team maintains and governs access policies and works to deliver technologies to ensure that the right entities have the appropriate access to technology resources.

The SSO team is dealing with support and project delivery on the Identity and Access Management technologies: SiteMinder, LDAP, Axway API Gateway.

The jobholder will be part of multi-geographical (presence in 3 regions and 6 locations) and multi-disciplined team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Architecture

·         To provide architectural expertise thereby driving change and improvement in technology and process.

Project Delivery

·         To take responsibility for the delivery of key projects around SSO and LDAP which are aligned to drive significant change within the platform.

·         To work with the Application Production Support project managers in defining, designing, documenting and implanting new functionality for existing and new applications.

·         To liaise with the Application Developers in low-level diagnosis of on-going issues.

·         To provide subject matter expertise on SSO and IDM technologies to all business application teams.

·         To act as technology evangelists for the improvement of process and technology in use for the Authentication services within BNP Paribas.

Platform Support and Maintenance

·         Pro-actively monitor, manage and improve availability and performance of the production environments (from presentation and application layers to Infrastructure layers)

·         Pro-actively manage the capacity of production applications

Incident and Problem Management

·         To work with partner teams to conduct analysis of major and critical incidents.

·         To identify tactical or strategic improvements that can be introduced to help reduce the number of on-going incidents within the SSO and LDAP area.

Change Management

·         To work within the change management framework adopted by BNP Paribas to ensure that all changes to the production environment are planned and executed in a controlled manner.

·         To take responsibility for the quality of changes within the SSO and IDM environments, ensuring that changes raised are of sufficient standard in terms of technical and planning detail.

·         Attending and sharing knowledge / updates in the Weekly Change Control Board Meetings and the Weekly Problem Management Meetings.

General

·         Perform pre-assigned tasks to accomplish the function responsible for. The nature of these tasks are Change The Bank or Run The Bank
