- Measure and book the required adjustments in accounting to ensure completion and accurateness through all reporting axes, including the segmented axis.
- High involvement in projects related to the management accounting data remediation plan, contributing in the different streams, supporting the project team and raising/escalating issues when they arise.
- Perform consistency and data quality controls related to the business line and indicator.
- Provide Finance supervision & completion on LoD1 control, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the data feeding done by the back office operation tools.

- Studies:
- Business school, University Graduate, Master Degree in Accounting or Finance Degree
- Experience
- Up to 2 years experience in Finance within the Banking sector (Financial Accounting, Reporting, Business/financial analysis), including audit and consultancy firms.
- Experience of working in an international environment appreciated.

ABOUT THE JOB – Temporary position
MISSION
The main objective of the Head Office Reporting P&L team is to ensure the submission of the Group reporting Profit and Loss (P&L) statements as well the review and the accuracy of the accounting figures.
The team is also the owner analytical process, being the SPOC of all P&L Reporting requirements. Additionally, the team will oversee, identify, and implement initiatives in regards the improvement of ALMT Management Accounting processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Management Accounting & Control Functions
He/she will be in charge of the following finance functions:
- Being the main interlocutor with ALMT Finance, overseeing any remediation initiative that would improve ALMT P&L over EMEA Region.
- Ensure the golden rule: the reconciliation between financial and management accounting figures, in compliance with Group and CIB Finance standards.
- Promote the data quality and the associated expenses reporting. In this context, you will have to:
- Consolidate all manuals entries and difficulties.
- Monitor and work on remediation action plan in coordination with all actors.
- Foster the automatic solution instead of tactical solution or manual entries.
- To develop a strong KPI framework of controls which could be shared in a specific dashboard with our clients.
- Build strong relationships with the Regional fronting, Local finance, SMS/HOR teams and financial controllers to produce management accounting reporting and provide all the synthesis and analysis required per Business Line.
- Contribute to the elaboration of reliable and quality Performance Management expenses reports for the management of the region. Detect needs of information and reporting for the business.
- Design and implement new reports for the local business management,
- Implement a highly automated process for the elaboration of analytical expenses,
- Bring support to the local finance, local heads of the business lines in the analysis of the expenses and KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators), being able to really explain what is happening in the countries in scope.
- Participate actively in the follow-up, definition and implementation of the new Budget process for the perimeter of responsibility. Implement the necessary controls. Foster the communication with global and local teams.
- Be available to participate in any task in order to avoid concentrating peaks of work in few team members.

MISSION

Main responsibilities
– Deal directly with CIB clients ensuring their needs are met and/or exceeded within established agreements.

RISK is an integrated and independent control function of the BNP Paribas Group. RISK Iberian Hub Madrid is a transversal platform servicing the RISK Function by covering added-value activities around credit risk, market risk, operational risk and data protection. RISK MFI – Analysis & Decisions – Credit & Counterparty Risk Team’s main responsibility is the risk management oversight and control of credit and counterparty risks within the remit of RISK MFI’s authority for all activities conducted within BNP Paribas.
RISK MFI Credit & Counterparty Risk Team (CCR Team) is to promote a holistic and integrated end-to-end approach of risk management – whereby the collective efficiency is improved. The Credit & Counterparty Risk pillar of RISK MFI Analysis & Decisions is structured to ensure a full consistency between counterparty and credit risks approach for each approval across MFI.
CCR Team comprises of three sub-teams:
• Credit Team – responsible for managing the credit decision process and evolution of the counterparty and credit risks on the Bank’s institutional clients (excluding HFs). This team comprises of Credit Officers (COs), organized by types of counterparties and transversal Senior Credit Officers (SCOs);
• Hedge Fund Team – responsible for managing the credit decision process and steering the counterparty and credit risks on Hedge Funds (“HFs”) and Risky Funds (“RFs”) clients. The HF Team is the main point of contact for the Business and other RISK teams on both credit and counterparty risks in relation to HFs and RFs.
• Counterparty Risk Team – a transversal team serving the credit decision process and managing the counterparty risks generated by any corporate, financial institution (incl. market infrastructure) or sovereign counterparty, as well as collateral risks generated by Global Markets and Securities Services;
The EMEA Credit team consists of about 15 people with different profiles and experiences, spread between Paris, London and Madrid, in charge of a geographical area covering a large part of Europe, Middle East and Africa. The team covers regulated funds, financial institutions (Banks, Brokers, Pension funds, Insurance).
You will be based in Madrid, working in Flex-Office mode.
You will progress in a dynamic and international context and will tackle complex and diverse problematics.
RISK MFI Credit Team is also present in New York and Asia. You will be in contact with these teams to share on international financial groups, their strategies, and their global presence.
RISK MFI Credit Team is a central point in the risk decision process, with high visibility and responsibility. You will work closely with the Relationship Managers and Credit analysts teams on the counterparties under your delegation.
ABOUT THE JOB
MISSION
· Managing the credit decision process and monitoring the counterparty and credit risk on regulated Funds including high risk regulated funds. Risk management and oversight control over the relevant activities and associated risks.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Credit process
• Exercise credit delegation in accordance with the delegation scheme and credit process rules and co-chair Credit Committees together with the Relation Managers or Business Lines representatives
• Responsible for Credit Committee Minutes’ contents and sign off as RISK delegation holder
• Authorized to approve policy exceptions as defined in procedures such as collateral, legal credit terms
• Participate in or request Due Diligences
• Provide support, guidance and decision, as RISK SPoC and expert, to other RISK teams, Credit Analysts and other businesses (with relevant exposures e.g. Securities Services, Wealth Management,…) relating to Funds (e.g. specific portfolio reviews, complex transactions…)
• Guarantee the quality and timeliness of synthetic credit risk analysis and recommendation (Annual review, ad hoc, credit notes, and comparative analysis) provided by the Credit Analysts on files that fall within his/her level of delegation
• Guarantee the application of Bank’s procedures and policies and the consistency of Bank’s rating methodologies.
Interact with the Relationship Managers and Business Lines
• Assess, with the support of the Credit Analysts, the credit proposal in the light of BNPP commercial strategy, Relationship Managers memo, and of any material information (transaction or risks) provided by the Relationship Managers
• Contribute together with Relationship Managers and Credit Analysts to the identification of the credit points that need to be discussed with the client (during Due Diligence for example).
• Discuss the requests of credit limits with the Business Lines together with Credit Analysts
• Work with the Relationship Managers and the Business Lines to mitigate risk related to the counterparties.
Be responsible for (incl. governance/regulatory responsibilities)
• Acting as expert on specific portfolios (e.g. concentrated, correlated, longer tenors or less liquid)
• Decision on files that fall within his/her level of delegation (Ad Hoc requests, annual reviews), and escalation to Credit Officers / Senior Credit Officers when higher credit delegation is required.
• Recommendation on Watch List and Doubtful counterparties under his/her scope
• Due Diligence process on counterparties under his/her ownership and contributing to due diligence under SCO ownership. Attend at the adequate committees in collaboration with Credit Analysts & SCOs.
• Apprehend general and specific risks related to Funds exposures, notably related to the steering of in-depth analysis of the portfolio, design and review of relevant stress tests as required.
Contribute to
• Contribute to the risk strategy definition by providing recommendation on the risk profile of the counterparty and on specific transactions in relationship with the appropriate stakeholders
• Contribute to the Bank’s reactivity vis-à-vis clients’ expectations by prioritizing urgent requests under his/her responsibility with his/her manager
• Contribute to the frequent/regular monitoring (risk exposures and excesses); as well as forums related to RISK MFI clients’ portfolios, in order to anticipate and detect any counterparty or credit risk issues requiring a specific review and the implementation of an appropriate action plan
• Contribute to the definition of regulatory measures and the Bank’s risk appetite framework and statement
• Provide support for regulatory requests and missions, as well as preparation and participation to supervisory frequent meetings
• Contribute to the credit and counterparty processes optimization and fluidity, projects (transformation, regulations, IT, etc.) with RISK streams, Business Lines and Relationship Managers
• Contribute to credit and counterparty projects related to methodologies, regulation changes or policies definition in liaison with other RISK streams, Business Lines and Relationship Managers
• Provide RISK MFI comments/recommendations for TACs/NACs (Transaction Approval Committees and New Activity Committees) when relating to Funds.
REQUIREMENTS
- Studies
· Master’s Degree/MSc/Master 2 from Engineering School, Business School or University in Banking, Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Financial Markets or other relevant areas

- 10 years minimum in Credit/Counterparty Risk, or Credit Analysis

RESPONSABILITIES
• Managing the invoicing to clients and correspondent Banks, ensuring a high level of accuracy in terms of calculations of Guarantee fees and production of invoices.
• Ensuring invoices and accounting entries are aligned, performing accounting adjustments when necessary.
• Monitoring and follow up of fees due, ensuring that any long overdue items are referred to line Managers and/or Business contacts as necessary.
• Managing the payment of fees to Correspondent Banks.

• Assisting with the resolution of any disputes or concerns in respect of overdue items.
• In coordination with the Drafter and/or Vetter, performing the monitoring of Guarantees as they reach their expiry dates: updating expiry dates for open-ended guarantees, closing expired transactions in the Bank mainframes and records, ensuring any outstanding fees are collected up to date and notifying clients of their release (if release before expiry date).
• Providing clear details of open items in the accounts under his/her scope. Such details will be used by the managers assigned as owners of the accounts for the periodic certification of accounts.

Within the RISK Madrid Hub of CPBS (Commercial, Personal Banking & Services), you will join the RISK BCEF Model Design team. As the RISK Model Design Senior Quant, you will develop credit regulatory risk models for BCEF (PD, LGD, LGD in-default, EAD-CCF), in collaboration with the RISK BCEF Model Design teams in Paris, Bordeaux and Madrid, Business and IT teams of BCEF, and Group Risk teams (LoD1 and LoD2).
You will be working on various current credit risk and regulatory issues at the heart of banking within the largest entity of CPBS. You will gain a strong understanding of credit risk modelling. In general, you will develop expertise in credit risk management, banking regulation (CRR3, EBA Guidelines – LOM, NPE-FBE, etc.), and the data challenges within BCEF and RISK BCEF.
As a Risk Modeling specialist, you will develop new models or maintain existing ones to assess risk parameters for Retail and Corporate credit, with a first focus on new CCF models:
· You will coordinate contributions from RISK BCEF and BCEF on these projects.
· You will write documentation for these initiatives.
· You will actively participate in internal audits and supervisory reviews.
· You will analyze the results of backtesting exercises.
· You will engage in discussions with RISK CPBS and RISK Models & Regulatory teams.
