The treasury specialist is responsible for the operations linked with money management, bank account reconciliation processes and daily monitoring on safekeeping of funds in the Finance Shared Service Center.
 
The duties include being in charge of doing bank accounts reconciliation, to control payments and to monitor the daily process of safekeeping of funds.
 
 RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform bank reconciliations, analyze transactions, monitor banking activities, and provide supporting documentation. 
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation reports, resolve complex discrepancies, maintain accurate records, and proactively follow up on aged transactions.
  • Payments control: Review all payment transactions to ensure accuracy and prevent fraud. Maintain appropriate files, reports, documentation, and data.

  • Consolidate daily cash flows to ensure sufficient liquidity coverage, and alert the management team in case of cash shortfalls or unusual trends.

You will join the AI Business Analysts team at AIR Tech, which is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of projects, making sure that the needs of users and sponsors are correctly translated for the Data Scientists and AI ML Engineers of the AIR Tech team

To illustrate your working day, here are some of the associated tasks:

AIR Tech Project Manager

Within the AIR Tech team, the AI Business Analyst plays a central coordination role between team members (Data Scientists and AI ML Engineers) and our internal contacts (sponsors, clients, and users), namely:

–       The framing: ensuring that AIR Tech fully understands the requirements and constraints as well as the relevance of the approach in relation to the needs of the users

–       Project progress tracking: ensure project follow-up, anticipate and resolve any issues encountered, serve as the main point of contact with AIR Tech clients to ensure their engagement, act as a Scrum Master using agile methods to ensure regular project progression

–       Promotion: Present the team’s contributions internally and externally

–       Deployment support: assist the implementation process of projects when relevant i.e. coordinate project sponsors, IT resources and AIR Tech contributors

Monitoring of the AIR Tech projects portfolio and tracking of the RISK function’s AI use cases

Next, the team applies algorithms to solve the identified problem based on the provided data.

MISSION
 

Within the RISK Madrid Hub of CPBS (Commercial, Personal Banking & Services), you will join the RISK BCEF Model Design team. As the RISK Model Design Junior Quant, you will develop credit regulatory risk models for BCEF (PD, LGD, LGD in-default, EAD-CCF), in collaboration with the RISK BCEF Model Design teams in Paris, Bordeaux and Madrid, Business and IT teams of BCEF, and Group Risk teams (LoD1 and LoD2).

You will be working on various current credit risk and regulatory issues at the heart of banking within the largest entity of CPBS. You will gain a strong understanding of credit risk modelling. In general, you will develop expertise in credit risk management, banking regulation (CRR3, EBA Guidelines – LOM, NPE-FBE, etc.), and the data challenges within BCEF and RISK BCEF.

 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
 

As a Risk Modeling specialist, you will develop new models or maintain existing ones to assess risk parameters for Retail and Corporate credit, with a first focus on new CCF models:

·  You will coordinate contributions from RISK BCEF and BCEF on these projects.

·  You will write documentation for these initiatives.

·  You will actively participate in internal audits and supervisory reviews.

·  You will analyze the results of backtesting exercises.

About the team :

 

RISK is a global function within the BNP Paribas Group, with risk experts distributed across five continents. Its mission is to ensure the management of the Bank’s risks for General Management, in compliance with its policies, desired market ratings, and profitability objectives. As a member of the ADMt team of CIB IT Spain, serving as IT Business Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to analyze business needs within functional domains to enhance appalications in scope with sustainable solutions that align with strategic plans and requests, ensuring their compliance with the standards and policies in force at BNP Paribas.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
 

1. Understand and analyze the needs of the Business related to one or more functional domains, with the aim of enhancing the IS with appropriate and sustainable solutions in line with the entity’s strategic plan and the related request portfolio:

• Handle demands from different stakeholders on several topics and  Contribute to preliminary studies with the business

• Participate, as necessary, in monitoring the portfolio and prioritizing requests in their scope of activity

ABOUT THE JOB

 

MISSION

He/she will perform tasks allocated mainly to the Finance accounting team responsible for the end to end process of all related transaction affecting the operational expense booking and reporting of the Corporate and Institutional Banking, BP2S and Personal Finance entities under scope on Europe, Middle East and Africa Region (EMEA).

 

Within the team called *Finance EMEA: Corporate Accounting & Expenses, the candidate would be assigned to different scope such as Fixed Assets & leases, Personnel Expenses, General Expenses, transfer pricing & Tax or Management Accounting.  The team ensures an accurate, reliable and comprehensive set of segmented financial data required for the production of all Reporting streams through a solid control framework that covers oversight on upstream processes, Finance own processes and controls on data quality.

 

Financial Accountants are involved in the day-to-day maintenance and control of the general ledgers for the entities under their responsibility associated to the assigned profit & loss segment mentioned above. When applicable, they coordinate review and potential adjustments with other teams. Additionally, they will have to ensure quality of data for all Reporting streams and be in charge of performing adjustments when needed in the General ledger.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Accounting & Control Functions

·         Involve in monthly closing cycle activities from book keeping to reporting

·         Ensure End to End data quality and accuracy of accounting & reporting for a specific list of EMEA entities, including preparation of reporting package flows for different Bank’s tools regarding Financial accounting and Management accounting

·         Maintain the general accounting of all entities, including overheads and inter-entity reinvoicing transfer Pricing Agreements

·         Perform and/or control the accounting and tax classification for overheads, pay-roll and employee benefit expenses, depreciation and amortization on tangible and intangible assets including potential impairment or write off

·         Calculation, booking and integrity checks related to IFRS16 Calculation

·         Profit & Loss analysis by general ledger accounts and cost centers, providing analytical reviews for the different stakeholders

·         Provide Finance supervision & completion on first line of defense controls performed by Back Offices operations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the data feeding done by the back office operation tools related to Corporate Accounting & Expenses

·         Transform the accounting data into management accounting (profitability and cost allocation by Business Line) following the MARP (Management Accounting Rules and Principles)

·         Provide assistance in coordination with the management in responding to questions from the external auditors, Operations, and other support groups by:

Ensuring prompt resolution and follow-up of questions / requests for information

Escalating problems/issues to the team leader and/or head

Providing quality service to other teams

Projects, Systems Support, Operational Process Improvements

·         Participate in the assessment of the current operating model and in the implementation of action plans to achieve the defined target operating model

·         Participate in the upgrades/version releases of respective reporting tools

·         Assist in identifying operational process improvements in production, control procedures, and workflow organization to increase the team’s efficiency and effectiveness.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Studies

   Business school, University Graduate, Master Degree preferably in Accounting or Finance Degree

 

  • Between 3 to 4 years’ experience in Finance performing similar activities for multinational companies, including audit and consultancy firms
  •  Experience of working in an international environment appreciated

MISSION

 

Based on the external disclosures, the FS LRR analyst deploys operationally the regulation and normative guidelines on his operational scope. 

–          Based on the data delivered by the Finance SMS, to provide reporting, analysis and specific requests 

–          To produce the monthly reporting to the local regulator authority (French National Bank, ACPR “Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Resolution”) and to answer to ad hoc requests of the regulators. To send on time accurate reporting to regulators. 

–          To produce financial statements for external publication and for Finance front office ensuring their correct valuation and presentation. 

 

–          To participate to actions plans to solve data quality issues. He/she participates into new projects inquiries (regulatory and other)

ABOUT THE JOB

 

Position Purpose

  • The team member will ensure the data quality of the reporting towards the elaboration of the Group

Consolidated Financial Statements. She/he will act as a financial controller analyzing and monitoring the information declared by the BNP sites/regions

  • This implies his / her collaboration on supporting the reporting sites/regions for the preparation of the closings, implementing and monitoring transversal controls at global level, investigating complex transactions from financial / reporting perspective, analyzing the data reported by the sites/regions through packages, and synthetizing the results of the controls and the performance through various deliverables
  • At the same time, the team member will be the Subject Matter Expert on a particular Reporting topic (i.e. IFRS 9, IFRS 12, Consolidation Perimeter, KPIs reports, Intercompany etc)

 

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible of supporting the entities/regions in the preparation of the quarterly closings:
    • Developing capacity of the team member on understanding the events/issues raised by the sites/regions that might have an impact in the reporting
    • Advising the reporting sites/regions about the correct presentation / accounting treatments of specific transactions
    • Inform the sites/regions about news on Group norms, standards and reporting evolutions
    • Ensure that the open issues are properly followed-up during the inter-closings as well as support on defining action plans
  • Analysis on all the events with impact on the Group Consolidated Financial Statements
    • Discuss with the reporting sites/regions about particular transactions / operations that have a material impact in the Financial Statements
    • Understand the issues and their implications on the Group Consolidated Financial Statement
    • Identify events that might need an adjustment at consolidated level (i.e. operation wrongly booked in local, elimination of internal results, reclassifications for presentation purposes, etc.)
    • Summarize and synthetize the key events in order to report them to the Team Leader
  • As a Subject Matter Expert (SME):
    • The team member is responsible for understanding and developing a particular transversal topic related to Financial / Regulatory Reporting
    • The team member is part of Group Finance, the processed under is scope should be updated and harmonized with Group expectations

 

During the closing:

Collection and analysis of the Financial and Regulatory Statements

  • Ask for corrections when the information provided through the packages is not accurate or wrongly reported 
  • Perform an analytical review on the data reported in order to have a global view on the material balances and variations
  • Liaise with the sites/regions to get the necessary economic background and details aiming to understand the material figures and key quarterly / annual variations
  • Coordination between regions and Group / Regulators / Auditors to comply with regulatory or ad-hoc requests

 

As a SME

  • The transversal tasks within a particular role of SME have to respect the deadlines and steps defined by the Group
  • You will be responsible of implementing the controls and / or taking the necessary actions to ensure the achievement of the task/sIndependently of the role of entity coordinator, the SME is responsible of informing the reporting sites/regions about the instructions of the tasks, the results of the controls as well as the actions to be taken over the reporting packages or particular tools / systems

Perform manual accounting entries in the reporting tool (consolidated adjustments) to correct any gap/missing entry/system error impacting the Consolidated Financial Statements of the Group

 

Post closing:

Production of Key Performance Indicators, synthesis and debriefing :

  • Participate on the elaboration of the KPIs that measure the performance of the reporting sites/regions. It implies to summarize and quantify the results from the work performed by the regions, provide an issue log, participate on follow-up meetings and collaborate on defining action plans on open issues
  • Accompany and foster the performance of the production teams by providing assistance
  • Synthetize the key issues encountered during the quarterly closing and report to the Team Leader as well as top management accordingly.

Participation to the Transformation of the Function:

  • Based on the projects and the continuous transformation of the function, the team member will participate on the implementation of the needed action plans / changes that the organization might require
  • Key contributor for any global change management initiative: the team member must be open to changes, diversity and new projects as well as keen to resilience 

Support to the sites / platforms:

  • Due to the continuous changes in the standards, regulations and organization, there might be a need of development for the entities/regions that implies support to the sites / regional platforms.
