Why Join Us?

ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) topics are reshaping how financial institutions operate, assess risk, and engage with society. At BNP Paribas, we see ESG as a strategic priority and a core component of responsible risk management.

Our RISK ESG department—created in 2020—plays a central role in embedding ESG risk considerations across the organisation and strengthening our response to evolving supervisory expectations.

Within this department, the Regulatory & Implementation team ensures that ESG regulatory developments are anticipated, understood, and effectively integrated into the Group’s risk management framework.

We are now looking for a Senior ESG Analyst to join our Madrid office and contribute to these high‑impact missions.

About the Team: RISK ESG Regulatory & Implementation team

You will join a dynamic, multicultural team of ESG specialists located in Paris and Madrid.
Our mandate is transversal, meaning you will interact daily with a broad community across the Group (RISK streams, Business Lines, Group Sustainability, Finance, etc.).

We work at the crossroads of regulation, risk methodology, ESG expertise, and strategic transformation, making our team an ideal place to grow both your analytical and collaborative skills.

  • Coordinate inputs for mandatory and voluntary ESG risk reports.
  • Ensure coherence and quality of contributions gathered from RISK teams worldwide.
  • Support responses to ESG‑related surveys and questionnaires issued by extra‑financial rating agencies.

Professional Expertise

You have 5–8 years of experience in the financial sector, ideally with exposure to risk management or regulatory topics. You are familiar with how risk frameworks operate in large organisations, and you are eager to deepen your expertise in ESG, even if you are not yet an expert.

Knowledge of EU ESG regulations is appreciated but not mandatory; what matters most is your curiosity and capacity to learn quickly. You feel comfortable working in English and French, and you are proficient with MS Office tools.

Soft Skills & Mindset

You thrive in environments where priorities evolve quickly, and you bring adaptability and flexibility to your work. Your structured way of thinking allows you to analyse complex topics and communicate them clearly.

Colleagues appreciate your organisation skills, your ability to produce concise and insightful summaries, and your commitment to methodological rigor.
You are a strong communicator who enjoys interacting with diverse teams and co‑building solutions.

Above all, you value collaboration, inclusiveness, and collective success—key elements of our team culture.
