BNP Paribas EMEA Finance employs 500 employees, of which more than 325 are based in Madrid. We manage more than 250 BNP Paribas entities from all over Europe, covering +60% of Group’s balance sheet and all group’s banking activities (Corporate & Investment Banking, Retail Banking, Personal Finance and other financial services activities…).

Our mission is to measure, control and explain all the financial indicators required to monitor accounting, tax, regulatory, liquidity, credit risk reporting and management result activities.

Within Oxygen platform, CIB BL (Business Lines) Performance Steering act as a finance business partner for Finance Head Office of BNP Paribas for CIB perimeter by:

§ Support the Finance Head Office for Divisions’ and Business Lines’ strategic steering

§ Produce performance management reporting and indicators for all financial indicators (as P&L,

Balance Sheet, Liquidity, Capital, Cost of Risk, Cost) to support the Divisions and their Business

Lines in analyzing and steering their performance

§ Animate processes and support Business Line finance teams in respect with Group level instructions

§ Animate client profitability and cost monitoring analysis

CIB BL Performance Steering is responsible to provide financial indicators monitoring for all CIB activities (Corporate Banking, Global Markets & BP2S).

BP2S Performance Management Steering within CIB BL is in charge of the analysis of the actuals, projections by business line for P&L & Financial indicators.

Oxygen Platform aims at:

o Mutualizing financial, management accounting and liquidity reporting production, both at Central

and at Regional EMEA level, in order to rationalize finance production processes and optimize operational efficiency within a centralized processing center.

o Reinforce the control set-up, both at Central and Regional EMEA level, and reduce the operational

risk.

o Aligning tools, norms & methodologies, processes and deployment of standard CIB Finance applications/systems among the CIB Finance EMEA community.

o Promoting process efficiency and transversally, supporting innovation and developing digitalization, as well as implementing robotics initiatives.

o Strengthening coordination & (2-way) communication among the CIB Finance EMEA community, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing.

MISSION:

The team member within BP2S PM Division is primarily responsible for providing oversight and control over day-to-day transactions, operations and activities arising from regional production and dialogue with the stakeholders.

Provide regular reports, added-value analysis, comments and create a fluent dialogue with internal client for revenues, expenses, cost of risk, capital and liquidity indicators as well as participate in the preparation of business plans such as Forecast and Budget.

The position is within BP2S Performance Management Division for BP2S Finance HO (Head Office)

located in Madrid, under the supervision of the Head of BP2S Performance Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

ü He/she is responsible for day to day operations generated through fluent dialogue

– Implements measures to standardize and strengthen interaction between Regional/Head Office

stakeholders and the Finance Platform

– Preparation and Animator of any associated committees

– Coordination with Business, Risk, Regional Finance, ALMT, Performance Managers (regions,

central) and central Project teams based in Paris

– Elaborates reliable and quality indicators for expenses and revenues regarding Flash and Actual

process

– Ensures data quality and contributes to the data quality action plan

– Ad hoc analysis, new requests related to margin analysis and added value commentary

– Contribution to the monitoring of methodological and anticipation of regulatory and follow up

of impacts

ü Ensures delivery of on time and consistent quality Financial Reporting output actively

collaborating day-to-day in production and budget processes

– Animator of stakeholders, bringing added value, interacting and presenting new topics

– Constructive challenge of the figures and comments, helping other team members to evolve in

the area

– Contribute to the understanding of any ad-hoc, or transversal topics/issues

– Enhance the content and automation of the standard regional management reports

– Listen to client needs and be a solution provider to improve client satisfaction

ü Supervising and ensuring timely resolution for all issues arising for all BP2S Regional/HO

related matters arising from but not limited to :

– Accounting Control

– Local Fronting BP2S

– Financial Accounting and Reporting BP2S

– Synthesis and Financial Accounting and Reporting Teams

ü Ensure a good coordination with Business and Finance clients and ensure business needs are

addressed

– Build a constant communication with Business and Finance clients, ensuring a clear,

constructive and timely coordination of actions and proposed solutions

ü Finance partner for ITO & Functions BP2S management and support them in the decision

making process by providing accurate data and relevant financial analysis

ü Respect the internal deadlines (Reporting Calendar) and external deadlines (Official closings)

ü Observe the bank’s policies and procedures

ü Show proactivity by updating and following all the topics recovered in the Remediation Plan and

share Best Practices

Projects, Systems Support, Operational Process Improvements

§ Oversee the tools supporting the processing systems upstream/downstream to the platform that are under the team’s responsibility (internal tools as Perseus, Solaar.)

§ Implement highly automated processes

§ Participate in the development, testing, and implementation of systems to support the activities of the team, assisting in:

– Definition of business requirements

– User acceptance testing

– Training of users

– Trouble-shooting after deployment

REQUIREMENTS:

 •  Master on Finance or business school or equivalent

 •  Minimum 3 years of experience in at least several of the following corporate and/or line of business

disciplines preferably within a corporate banking company: financial control, financial planning

and analysis, management reporting, audit (internal/external), risk management positions

 • English speaking is mandatory

 •  English:Fluent

SKILLS:

  • Training and occupational experience
  • Master on Finance or business school or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in at least several of the following corporate and/or line of business disciplines preferably within a corporate banking company: financial control, financial planning and analysis, management reporting, audit (internal/external), risk management positions
  • English speaking is mandatory
  • Essential specific requirements
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, IFRS, Capital
  • Liquidity indicators, and regulatory and tax accounting rules and regulations
  • Strong Corporate Banking product knowledge
  • Strong understanding of financial and operational risk control requirements to ensure that financial systems in place are compliant and continuously monitored
  • Hard skills
  • Knowledge of Financial Institutions Balance sheet
  • IT skills : capacity to use several of the following office tools in a proficient manner
  • BI (data story, data management) knowledge is a plus.
  • Tableau, PowerBI, SQL, Python knowledge is a plus.
